วิธีที่ 1: Virtual COM (สำหรับ SCADA รุ่นเก่า)

เหมาะสำหรับ SCADA Software ที่ต้องการ COM Port เช่น WinCC, InTouch SCADA จะเห็นอุปกรณ์ผ่าน Virtual COM และส่ง Modbus RTU Query ผ่าน Network โดยอัตโนมัติ

วิธีที่ 2: TCP Server Mode (สำหรับ Modbus TCP)

ตั้ง Serial Server เป็น TCP Server Mode แล้ว SCADA จะส่ง Modbus TCP Request มาที่ Port 502 Serial Server จะแปลง Modbus TCP เป็น Modbus RTU ส่งออก RS485 และแปลง Response กลับ
